Tabie Greyling

Tabie Greyling is a specialist infectious diseases physician who joined Positive Lives in 2015 after completing his subspecialist training at the University of Stellenbosch.

He completed his medical degree cum laude at Stellenbosch University in 2002 and after a few years in clinical practice, his diploma in HIV Management at the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA). He was awarded the college medal for this exam in 2007. From 2009 to 2012 he worked as a registrar in Internal Medicine at Tygerberg Hospital and completed his training as a Specialist Physician. He joined the Division of Infectious diseases at Tygerberg Hospital in 2013 where he worked as a fellow and completed his sub-specialist training.

Tabie has particular interests in HIV resistance, tropical medicine, travel medicine, immunodeficiency syndromes and chronic wounds and is also on the editorial board for the journal “Wound Healing SA”. He has been managing patients living with HIV since 2002 and has developed a holistic approach in his treatment plan staying on top and incorporating the latest developments in the field.
